Seeking crew members for a 15-20 day journey aboard a 45-foot Jeanneau Sun Odyssey through the stunning outer Caribbean islands.
The Voyage
Join us as we sail from St. Croix and explore the pristine waters of the Eastern Caribbean, making stops at a dozen islands including the BVI, St. Martin, St. Barts, and ending in Grenada.
Itinerary Highlights
Departure: St. Croix, USVI
Island stops tentatively include: British Virgin Islands, St. Martin, Guadeloupe, Martinique/Saint Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines
Destination: Grenada

45-foot Jeanneau Sun Odyssey - comfortable, seaworthy, and well-equipped for blue water sailing.

What We're Looking For
Passport and ability to clear customs in every location listed below
Sailing experience with references (minimum 2 references required)
Ability to stand watch
Team-oriented attitude
Willingness to share in cooking and boat maintenance
Passion for adventure and island exploration
Crew Contribution
Crew members are responsible for:
Your airfare to St. Croix and return from Grenada
Personal expenses and food while on islands
Personal customs fees (roughly $20 per country) We will cover the cruising fees and other boat clearance fees
We will cover:
All boat expenses
Food and drink costs while aboard
Important: There is no alcohol consumption when underway. Alcohol is permitted only when the anchor is down.

Island Breakdown & Highlights
We will try to make most of the itinerary but this may change due to weather and what we learn along the way. Last voyage we changed our itinerary significantly based on weather and on information about locations we learned from locals and other cruisers along the way
1. St. Croix (Departure)
Customs Requirements:
US Virgin Islands (US territory) - US citizens need only photo ID, non-US citizens need passport
No departure tax for US citizens
Things to Do:
Buck Island Reef National Monument - amazing snorkeling
Point Udall - easternmost point of the United States
Historic Christiansted and Frederiksted towns
Cruzan Rum Distillery tour
2. British Virgin Islands
Customs Requirements:
BVI customs fee (approximately $20 per person)
Cruising permit for the vessel
Each person must complete online travel authorization before arrival
Things to Do:
The Baths at Virgin Gorda - iconic rock formations
Jost Van Dyke - home of the famous Soggy Dollar Bar
Snorkeling at the Indians and the Caves
Norman Island - inspiration for Treasure Island

3. St. Martin/Sint Maarten
Customs Requirements:
Island is divided between French (north) and Dutch (south) sides
Entry can be made on either side, but must clear in
Modest harbor fees on the Dutch side

4. Guadeloupe
Customs Requirements:
French overseas territory
Customs clearance at major harbors like Pointe-à-Pitre

Local markets and French-Caribbean cuisine
5. Martinique
Customs Requirements:
French overseas territory
Customs clearance at Fort-de-France or other ports
Harbor fees vary

Mount Pelée volcano
Saint-Pierre ruins (destroyed by volcano in 1902)
Jardin de Balata botanical gardens
Rum distillery tours (Habitation Clément)
Beautiful beaches like Les Salines
5. Saint Lucia (Alternate)
Customs Requirements:
Customs clearance at Rodney Bay or Marigot Bay
Cruising permit required
Departure tax may apply

The iconic Pitons

6. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Customs Requirements:
Must clear customs at first port of entry
Cruising permit for the region (approximately $40-60)
Each island may require check-in/check-out

7. Mustique (maybe)
Customs Requirements:
Part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
May need to check in if coming directly from another country
Private island with landing fees

Horseback riding along beaches
Hiking trails with spectacular views

8. Grenada (Terminus)
Customs Requirements:
Customs clearance at St. George's
Departure tax for leaving the country

Grand Anse Beach - world-famous stretch of sand

Grand Etang National Park and rainforest
River Antoine Rum Distillery - oldest in the Caribbean
General Customs Notes for Crew:
All crew should bring passports valid for at least 6 months beyond trip end date
Bring multiple copies of passport and boat documentation
Some islands may require proof of onward travel
Patience is key - Caribbean customs processes can take time
Have at least $250 in cash per person for various customs fees
Bring at least $1000 in cash per person for island personal expenses
Respect officers and local procedures
Some islands may want to see proof of sufficient funds
All crew should have travel/medical insurance that covers sailing (boat is insured for hull damages and liability only)
